Basics Cooking Course – for the teens of Kiryat Bialik
A festive and delicious meal ended the cooking course for youth of the “youth promotion” at Kiryat Bialik. The course was an educational and social initiative by the program coordinator Sharon Weiss and chef Yaron Chen. Youth who study at “youth promotion” need another framework which will open to them a professional world and enable their integration into society in a constructive and positive way. The course which included 10 sessions in various fields of the kitchen will enable the youth to acquire the necessary tools to work in a professional kitchen, and allow the integration in catering and restaurants. The ultimate goal of course is to enable the teens in the future to develop a social enterprise in which they will activate an independent kitchen what will provide catering services to various places such as the Haifa suburbs club / schools etc.
The course is funded by Galila Foundation by a designated contributions transferred by the HOT fund.
