United Hatzalah Volunteers course in Carmiel Misgav Region
Galila foundation is cooperating this year with United Hatzalah in order to increase the organization’s life-saving activities in the Galilee region.
As part of the cooperation, United Hatzalah opened a volunteer course, funded by the Galila foundation. The course is for the new volunteers that join the organization and join the life-saving team in the Galilee.
The 180-hour paramedics course includes hours of frontal training, field experience, telephone answering, first aid, training in treatment in emergency medicine until the arrival of the ambulance and / or treatment teams, a course that separates life from death.
The goal of the United Hatzalah is to reach the wounded person in up to 90 seconds from receiving the call, in order to increase the chances of saving lives. In the periphery, this is an ambitious goal to set, mainly due to the lack of professional volunteers. The course that opens in the Galilee will help to reach this goal.
The 16 graduates of the course, who underwent very strict sorting, join the amazing staff of United Hatzalah, which contributes significantly to the quality of life of residents in the north.
The Galila foundation will continue its cooperation with the organization and welcome their important activities.
