Assistance Funds

‘Chesed’ Fund

The Galila Foundation is proud to work in close collaboration with the grass-roots ‘Chesed’ Fund of Ma’alot, a development town in the Western Galilee. This strategic partnership allows us to reach needy populations in the town and expand our circle of social impact. As part of this collaboration, the fund assists those in need and supports a variety of essential community projects in the community of Ma’alot. The assistance includes support for families in distress, aid for the elderly, and promotion of various assistance initiatives. We believe that by joining forces and utilizing the deep local knowledge of the Ma’alot Chesed Fund, we can bring about meaningful and sustainable change in the lives of residents and in the resilience of the local community.

Assistance Funds for Holocaust Survivors

The Galila Foundation has been operating a dedicated fund for over 14 consecutive years to assist needy Holocaust survivors. The fund provides personalized support to survivors living in the northern region and helps them cope with everyday challenges. Through the fund, we provide solutions to a variety of needs – from assistance in purchasing essential appliances, medical equipment, to improving living conditions. We work in cooperation with welfare agencies in local authorities and with other NGO’s to identify survivors who need help, and we assist them in a most personal and respectful manner. Our commitment to the generation of holocaust and ghetto survivors is deep, and we view our support to them as a privilege and moral duty – to ensure their overall well-being and personal dignity.
