For the second consecutive year, Galila is proud to contribute to a very special social and community initiative, established by Kobi and Miriam Darchi from the community of Kfar Veradim in the Western Galilee.
The ‘Life-Line’ camp is aimed at 40 people with special needs and the volunteers which takes place twice a year – summer and winter in the Darchi’s home. There they enjoy a full week of activities, ranging from lectures and workshops to outdoor hikes and a variety of social enrichment activities – all provided by volunteer members of the local community.
During the week, the participants also get the chance to interact with various members of the local community.
Another key benefit of this wonderful initiative is that it allows for the families a respite period from having to care for the special needs family member, knowing that they are in safe and loving care at the Darchi’s home for one week twice a year.
