A “Home away from Home” for teens in Kiryat Bialik
We have just finished the renovations of the ‘home away from home’ for teens in Kiryat Bialik. The place is a home for girls who were identified by the Welfare department as ‘girls at risk’ and who need a restorative framework in order to merit a normal life.
The renovations included remodeling the old kitchen that feeds at a time about 20 girls aged 14-18 and was adapted not only be used as a kitchen that feeds the girls but also as a kitchen for a professional training course in baking and decorating cakes.
The course will be held during this current school year and will able the girls to bake cakes and sell them at the various events taking place in their surroundings.
The renovation, purchase of the equipment and financing of the course was made possible thanks to the generous support of the HOT Foundation.
