New Library in Kiryat Bialik
Galila Foundation is happy to announce on the completion of the renovation project of the Municipal library in Kiryat Bialik.
The dedication ceremony for the renovated and refurbished Archie & Marjorie Sherman Municipal Library in Kiryat Bialik took place on October 24th.
The Minister of Culture & Sports, Mrs. Limor Livnat participated in this prestigious occasion in the company of the Sherman family members, headed by Michael and Jacqueline Gee.
The guests were treated to a memorable event that included a tour of the beautiful new facility that serves as a central public venue for the residents of Kiryat Bialik.
The Mayor, Eli Dukorsky, who had been re-elected Mayor of the town the previous day, welcomed all of the guests and stressed the historic value of this building in the evolution of Kiryat Bialik. Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a festive lunch during which a personal message of congratulations by the UK Ambassador to Israel, Matthew Gould, was read out.
In his response on behalf of the donors, Michael Gee stressed the unique family history in its multi-decades support of Israel with over 135 nationwide projects and its strong Zionist background.
The renovated and refurbished Municipal Library incorporates a new children’s activities center as well as an expanded library serving all of the ethnic backgrounds in the multi-cultural community of Kiryat Bialik.
This project was a collaboration between few bodies among them the Galila foundation and the municipality of Kiryat Bialik.
