This December, in a very moving ceremony with dozens of children, teachers and other guests the Mini Pitch court in Galim School was dedicated. The ribbon was cut by the Head of Regional Council Mr. Yoram Israeli together with the school principle and a representative of the students. The new court was built for the benefit of the ‘Galim’ school children located next to Kibbutz Ein HaMifratz by Galila Foundation which cooperated in fully with Mate Asher Regional Council and Council engineer Shaul Duckas. The new court enables children to practice in various sports and attracts throughout the school day many of them. The budget for the establishment of the court was a designated contribution. ‘Galim’ school is a regional school for children with special needs ages 6 – 12. Many of the students who finish their studies at the school are integrated back in to a regular school, an integration that would not possible without the unique structure in ‘Galim’.
