The ‘My Piece of the Puzzle’ project operates a summer camp for children with special needs, together with youth-at-risk with the goal of creating a meeting between two populations who have been marginalized.
The summer program was held in the village of Nahar HaYarden. Combining the youth-at-risk and youth with special needs – and using the educational model developed by “My Piece of the Puzzle” that fosters a sense of capability, acceptance, and self-confidence, alongside fun and a break from routine – together created an exceptional experience for these groups.
The Galila Foundation was pleased to have the opportunity to support such a values-based and important project, taking place in the Galilee.
