Galila Foundation supports the activities of ‘Nevo’ core (15 graduates of the Working and Studying Youth movement) who work towards the communities in the Merom Hagalil Regional Counci in a year of service.
The Core members have begun their activities in the Merom Hagalil regional council after a period of a year as part of their service in the Nahal (paramilitary Israel Defense Forces program).
After finishing their service, the core members decided to stay in the region out of their mission and willingness to continue to work in the region and out of the ties formed between the guides to the place, communities and apprentices.
Activity that takes place within the framework of the program:
- Activity Coordination’s of the home for girls
- Operation of the Youth Council
- Coordination of the Youth activities in Amirim and Parod settlements
- Recruiting students for training youth courses of the Working and Studying Youth movement and going to the seminar of young guides of the movement.
The community work is held in cooperation with the local community center and aims to enrich the community and social life of the youth in Merom Hagalil and also to harness them for additional activities on behalf of the residents.
