Shinuy Kivun (“Changing Direction”) is a community organization founded with the goal of helping move the Galilee region forward to a better future. The organization was established by young people from Kiryat Shemona and works in many ways to strengthen weakened communities in the northern periphery by helping them think differently and to envisage a better future for their young community members.
The organization was forced to adapt itself to the Covid 19 pandemic and to the lockdowns. With activity in public spaces prohibited, they turned to the digital world, where last year they organized a virtual conference about establishing a university in the north. The Galila Foundation provided the organization with a philanthropic platform for its work and encourages their excellent work on behalf of residents of the north.
